Structure

The full Forum normally meets twice a year, in November and in June. These meetings (the first of which took place in November 2001) normally take the form of a conference.

The day to day business of the Forum is undertaken by the Executive Group, which meets once every 2 months. The membership of the Executive Group is drawn from the HE and FE institutions represented on the Forum.

The offices of Chair and Vice Chair rotate between the participating HE and FE institutions so that chairmanship of the Forum alternates between the two sectors. The term of office for both posts is two academic years. The current Chair is Iain Morrison, Head of Lifelong Learning, Student Support and Development. UHI Millennium Institute, and the current Vice Chair is Paul Sherrington, Depute Principal, Banff and Buchan College.
