This project was funded jointly by the North Forum and by NESAE and was completed in June 2001. It was managed by the Community Education Co-ordinator at the Northfield Community Centre. Its aim was to ensure that the local community required the courses on offer and, if not, to identify alternatives in order to inform the planning of the new community education programme. This was done by face-to-face interview, using a standard survey sheet, covering approximately 800 households in the Granitehill area. The survey is now complete and the findings are being used to ensure that the new programme meets the needs of the community.
